Eureka 431F Optima Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review
I bought one of these online because my high-$$$ Dyson couldn't handle one of my most heavily trafficked rugs, and I <3 it! It's small, lightweight, and totally no-frills. There's nothing it does that another vacuum doesn't do better, but it does everything -- when I need to do a quick job I'm far more likely to reach for this than for my larger monster; especially for stairs.
An unanticipated benefit of this vacuum is that because it vents its exhaust close to the floor, it has a tendency to chase dust-bunnies out from their hiding places into the open, whence they're easily retrieved.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a light-duty vac. We love ours.

Eureka 439AZ OPTIMA Pet Lover Review
I just picked up this vacuum today. I'm very impressed by the suction and portability. I'm not too happy about emptying the cup and servicing the filter. It will take some more practice tinkering to figure out a cleaner way of emptying the canister. Bag vacuums are alot more convienient, but I want a less impact on the landfills. Over all, I was grossed out about how dirty my carpet was after replacing my old 10 year old vacuum. I can breathe a bit better today after using this vacuum. I don't have a pet, but with the excess dust around my home, I'm confident this will serve it's purpose and work well.
